Village residents may have received a voice mail from Wisconsin Public Service regarding a gas meter exchange campaign it will be conducting in the Village.
WPS said that beginning December 26, they would be contacting residents about changing their gas meters, with work beginning January 2. In some cases, workers from WPS or KS Energy may need access to homes to relight gas pilot lights.
To ensure the gas meters remain accurate, all Wisconsin natural gas utilities are required by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin to test their natural gas meters on a regular basis. In order to test the meters, they need to be removed from service. There is no charge for the exchange.
