Two women take Kohler police and County deputies on high speed chase [video]
On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at approximately 3:35 p.m. the Sheboygan County Joint Dispatch Center received a 911 call from staff at the north Walmart store on Vanguard Drive in the Town of Sheboygan requesting assistance with an incident at the store.
According to a release by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, as a deputy was being dispatched to that location, the two females alleged to be involved in the Walmart incident fled the parking lot. A Village of Kohler officer in the area of Hwy. 23 spotted the vehicle traveling south on I-43 and pursued it until it pulled over just across from the ACUITY building. The Kohler officer as well as two Sheboygan County deputies approached the vehicle and a deputy was making contact with the operator, when the operator pulled away and fled the scene at speeds up to 115 miles per hour.
Another deputy was able to deploy a tire deflation device near the area of County AA (Mile Marker 115) in the town of Holland. Several of the vehicle’s tires were deflated, but the vehicle continued south on I-43 with one tire down to the rim, and a rear bumper dragging.
The County deputies and Kohler police discontinued the pursuit at the south county line. The suspect vehicle continued through Ozaukee County and into Milwaukee County where the vehicle’s damage finally forced it to stop.
The passenger was taken into custody by Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputies because of an active warrant, and the operator was charged with misdemeanor theft and bail jumping, eluding an officer, operating while suspended, reckless driving, and felony drug charges by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.ounty Sheriff’s Office.
