Grand Opening ribbon cutting and dog adoption celebration with the Humane Society of Sheboygan County scheduled for October 8 at the Shops at Woodlake
KOHLER, Wis. – October 3, 2019 – This month, The Shops at Woodlake Kohler welcomes two new stores offering popular men’s after golf apparel and accessories – perfect for on and off-course looks – and a women’s lifestyle shop with various clothing, gifts, home collection, beauty and wellness products. A Shop Named Sixty and a renovated Scentualities are located in the center of the shopping space.
The dog-friendly Shop Named Sixty boasts a charming story and is named in honor of Pete Dye’s dog, a constant companion with the legendary golf course architect who designed world-renowned Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run at Destination Kohler. Pete purchased his first dog for $20, a leash for another $20 and finally, a collar for $20. All in for $60, all of his dogs thereafter were bestowed with the name Sixty. Every iteration of Sixty lived a good life and accompanied Pete along many of his course designs, including those in Kohler.
The community is encouraged to help celebrate the shop’s official Grand Opening with a Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 8, 2019 at 4:45p.m. part of Kohler Co.’s ongoing commitment to the Humane Society of Sheboygan, 10 percent of the profits made in the shop’s first week open will be donated to the organization, with further donations planned. The Humane Society will be onsite with animals in need of a good home and all adoption costs, and further donations, will go toward construction of the organization’s new shelter. Both shops will also have grand opening promotions and sales available.
