Security fence around football field will allow public access to other Ebben Field facilities
Submitted by Kohler Public Schools
The synthetic turf field installed in October of 2017 at Ebben Field has created a new district asset that must be properly secured. While securing this new asset is a primary goal of the school district, a parallel goal is to provide access to the other spaces at Ebben Field.
The installation of a new security fence is anticipated to begin the week of June 11. Ebben Field will continue to be locked and secured by the existing perimeter fence through the completion of the installation. Once the installation is completed, the existing perimeter fence will no longer be locked to allow public access to the baseball fields, grass soccer fields, and the north/south walking path that bisects Ebben Field.
Maintaining open access to these spaces is critical as Ebben Field serves as a hub of activity for the village residents, recreation department activities, and other youth programs. Kohler Schools will be forthcoming with information on open public hours for the use of the track.
