Minit Marts sold, only taking cash until transition is complete

Just two years after Sheboygan-based QMart convenience stores were bought out by TravelCenters of America and reopened as Minit Mart, the stores are once again changing hands.

In early September, Westlake, Ohio-based TravelCenters of America sold its 225 Minit Mart branded convenience retail stores and gas stations, as well as some other related assets around the United States for $330.8 million to U.K.-based EG Group.

Minit Mart locations around Sheboygan County, including the Kohler location, are only taking cash at this time as the transition is being made to the new stores.
