On Monday, January 13, 16 students representing each classroom or advisory section from grades 3-8 participated in the Kohler School Spelling Bee.
According to fifth grade teacher Ann Bitter, the bee, which was held after school in the school’s cafeteria, had so many excellent spellers and such good competition that it lasted a whopping 90 minutes!
Many spectators turned out to see the competition come down to the final two participants, Fynley Bouck and Logan Roatch, representing the 6th and 8th grades respectively, going head-to-head for several rounds before Fynley was declared the champion. She will participate in the Regional Spelling Bee on Monday, January 27 at Acuity in Sheboygan. Best of luck, Fynley!
