The Kohler School District presented survey results for the potential referendum during their Monday June 8 school board meeting which was streamed on Facebook Live.

Bill Foster of School Perceptions said there were 510 responses, which was a 50% response rate. He said the response was “phenomenal” compared to the 20% response rate that he typically sees. Of those who responded, 55% have children attending Kohler Schools.

Eighty percent of the respondents live in the Kohler School District. The other 20% were staff and parents who lived outside the district. Most of the results below are from residents of the Village of Kohler only, since non-residents cannot vote on the referendum.

The results show Village residents overwhelmingly supportive of updating the technical education area and classrooms, building a new library, improving drop-off and pick-up safety, expanding parking, and adding air conditioning. There was less support for enhancement of outdoor athletic facilities, though the majority support it.

The first result is from both residents and non-residents who responded.
