Kohler Police Department Update – Week ending 07-27-2019

Officer Reinemann investigated a male possibly passed out in a car in the 500 block of Highland Dr.  The party was fine, just sleeping before a scheduled appointment.

Officer Schoch checked the welfare of a resident after a neighbor reported that all the windows in the home were open and the dogs were continuously barking.  While the Officer was on scene, a friend of the homeowner arrived.  She advised that the resident was on vacation, that she was watching the home, and the air conditioner stopped working so she opened all the windows.

Officer Hocevar tried locating three boys who were reported to be hitting golf balls in Ravine Park (not allowed).  The boys had left prior to the Officer’s arrival.

Officer Schoch is investigating an incident at Blackwolf Run where two groups got into a disturbance over a caddie picking up the wrong foursome’s ball.

Officer Reinemann assisted SCSD Deputies by conducting traffic control regarding an injury crash on I-43 at CTH EE.

Officer Schoch resolved a gas drive off incident at the Minit Mart.

Officer Gross investigated a door to door salesman soliciting without a permit.  The permit process was explained and a warning was documented.

Officer Gross assisted SCSD Deputies and Town of Sheboygan FD with an incident at the Kohler Arts Center building under construction on CTH PP where a 27 worker was injured.

Officer Hocevar warned a party who was using the Ebben field track without the school’s permission.  The school has requested strict trespassing enforcement.

Officer Reinemann responded to Deer Trace regarding children left in running car.  Upon the Officer’s arrival, the mother was at the car.  The Officer discussed the hazards of leaving children unattended.

Officer Schmitz conducted follow up regarding a previously reported trespassing incident at the Sportscore.  The Officer identified the three parties involved and issued trespassing citations.

Officer Schoch is investigating a retail theft that occurred at TJ Maxx.  The staff reported – after the fact,  that a person had pushed out a cart full of merchandise.  TJ Maxx staff are working with their asset protection staff to identify the subject.  They believe he is from Milwaukee where other such incidents have taken place.

Officer Reinemann responded to the Dollar Tree store where counterfeit $100 dollar bills were located on the floor of the store.  No one attempted to pass them as genuine.  The bills were inventoried as contraband.

Officer Schoch responded to the American Club regarding an impaired party attempting to drive away.  The Officer was able to prohibit the person from operating their vehicle and arranged for a ride home for the intoxicated party.
