Kohler Police Department Update – Week ending 06-15-2019
Officer Hocevar assisted in “Casino Night” for the graduating seniors. The last day of the regular school session was June 12th. On the 13th, Matt returned to patrol duties. He will remain in contact with school administrators over the summer, and then return full time as the Community Resource Officer at the school in Fall.
Chief Darin assisted a Sheboygan County Deputy on HWY 23 with a traffic stop of a motorcyclist who was not stopping initially.
Officer Reinemann met with Kohler Corporate Security where they turned over a vaping device, not knowing if it was merely found property or contraband. Officer Reinemann determined that it contained prohibited THC – and was therefore contraband. He took the device into custody to destroy.
Officer Reinemann investigated a report of a suspicious man leaving Ravine Park carrying a bag of cans. The Officer was unable to locate the person
Officer Reinemann investigated a concern from Kohler Credit Union staff who reported a man in their parking lot flying a drone. The Officer found that the man was working with the company that had recently replaced the roof on the building. The man was taking aerial photos to feature in a portfolio.
Officer Reinemann checked the welfare of an older resident who was not answering the phone calls of her son. The Officer was able to make contact with the woman and determined that she was fine. She spoke with her son on the phone while the Officer was at the home.
