All Officers have been monitoring the cemetery as the new signs prohibiting dogs have been posted.  Compliance has been very high.

We are participating in a statewide Click It or Ticket campaign with 317 other agencies, emphasizing the importance of using seat belts.  The campaign runs from May 20th through June 2.

Chief Darin was notified by the Sheboygan County Medical Examiner that Mr. Jose Urdiales died on May 23rd from injuries sustained in a car vs. motorcycle accident that occurred in Kohler on July 10, 2018. The case had already been referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s office for review.  The DA’s office was updated on Mr. Urdiales’ death.  Unfortunately, this means that the Village has had fatal crashes occur within the Village limits for two years in a row.

Officer Sass conducted a traffic stop where an investigation determined the passenger had an active felony warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Officer Reinemann assisted a resident who may have been the victim of identity theft.

Officer Reinemann located a vehicle wanted by the Sheboygan PD.  DHS workers went to a home in Sheboygan to check the welfare of the children.  The father took a child and fled from the scene in his car.  The vehicle was spotted on Hwy 28 at I43.  Officer Reinemann stopped the vehicle and the subject was turned over to the Sheboygan PD.

Officer Schoch responded to Hwy A at Union Ave. where a person thought an animal’s legs were sticking out of a plastic bag alongside the highway. The Officers found the bag to contain sticks and other lawn debris.

Officer Gross investigated a complaint of a person panhandling in front of the Payless Shoe store at the Deertrace Center.  The person could not be located by the time the Officer arrived.

Officer Schoch and Administrative Assistant Kuklinski traveled to the State Crime Lab and the Milwaukee County Bomb Squad to destroy evidence no longer needed in closed cases.

Officer Gross assisted SCSD Deputies at Glander Drug on Superior Ave. regarding a suspicious person.  A man was placed under arrest for OWI.

Officer Sass assisted SFPD Officers at a family disturbance that was occurring in Sheboygan Falls.
