Kohler Police Athletic League fiscal year report
Submitted by the Kohler Police Athletic League
The KPAL ended their fiscal year on a positive note. We had a successful 2018 KPAL/Lions Oktoberfest and KPAL Brat Fry this past year. We had some other fund-raising functions that were also successful.
As a result of these successful functions we were able to contribute over $18,000.00 to Kohler Village youth and school programs.
Some of the programs we supported were summer baseball, boys and girls summer basketball, the KPAL Swim Meet, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scout Programs. In addition to programs, the KPAL donated record boards for both track and swimming. These boards are displayed in the gym and pool area respectively. Also, the KPAL awarded two $1,500 Scholarships in 2019 to deserving seniors – one male and one female.
A new community function that the KPAL spearheaded was the Movie in the Park which was enjoyed by all who attended. We hope to do this again next year and are exploring the best way to do that or more.
Some exciting news from the KPAL is that a self-sufficient scholarship fund has been created where the KPAL will be able to award future scholarships. In addition, the KPAL is working on a second fund to support youth scouting programs. We have achieved approximately 50% of our goal and we are working hard to make that happen. Both of these funds will support the youth of Kohler for years to come.
The KPAL wishes to THANK YOU for all the support you give us throughout the year. Without your support we could not do what we do for the Kohler youth. Hopefully you can continue to support us so we can continue our programs. Oktoberfest is coming up September 13th and 14th at River Park in Sheboygan Falls and our annual brat fry will be on February 16, 2020.
We need new members however; without members we cannot do what we do. Please consider joining. You are invited to any meeting held the second Wednesday of every month, 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, or contact any member for information.
