Kohler agencies were among various others that responded to a rollover accident today on I-43 just south of Weeden Creek Road.
According to a release from Shawn Splivalo of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the Sheboygan County Joint Dispatch Center received a 911 call at approximately 11:40 a.m. reporting a single-vehicle rollover with a person ejected.
The release states that an 80-year-old female driver was traveling south on Interstate 43, when it is believed the camper she was towing was caught by a wind gust causing her to lose control before rolling the vehicle and ejecting her. She was treated by sheriff’s deputies and fire department personnel and then taken by Flight for Life to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, Wisconsin. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
A 62-year-old passenger was transported with minor injuries by Orange Cross Ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
A front loader and large dumpster were needed at the scene to remove the camper trailer in pieces.
