Girls volleyball season wrap-up
The Kohler girls varsity volleyball team finished the season with a conference record of 1-5 and a total match record of 5-28.
Coach Kirk Wittwer said that although the record doesn’t reflect it, the program continues to improve in a very strong Big East conference and the team had heart breaking losses to Mishicot and Sheboygan Christian in extra points in the fifth set. The varsity team had seven seniors on the team (Anne Olsen, Rachel Olsen, Remy Havens, Emily Balint, Chloe Schloerke, Issie Smith, and Kaleigh Roeder) who will be missed next year, but the strength of some key underclassmen will help the program continue to improve. Kohler was eliminated from the state tournament by last year’s state champions, Oostburg.
