Milwaukee, Wis. – The deadline to apply for the Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin Students of Integrity Scholarship is quickly approaching. Applications must be received by February 15, 2018 at 4:30 pm.BBB awards scholarships to Wisconsin high school students who have demonstrated character, leadership, and ethical values. The scholarships will be awarded for post-high school education at any Wisconsin-based accredited college beginning in the fall of 2018, including community colleges/technical colleges. As the scholarship recipients pursue their careers, BBB Serving Wisconsin hopes to develop future business leaders who will promote ethics in the Wisconsin marketplace.
To be eligible for this award, the student must:
- Be a high school senior
- Be a Wisconsin state resident
- Have a 3.0 or show GPA improvement consistently over time
- Plan to attend a Wisconsin-based accredited Higher Education Institution (2 or 4 year)
Since 2010, BBB Serving Wisconsin has awarded $127,000 in scholarships to Wisconsin high school students. This financial support, provided by generous ethical Wisconsin companies and the BBB of Wisconsin Foundation, provides the opportunity for these students to continue their education and, it helps to create long-term ties with future Wisconsin business leaders who will promote ethics in the marketplace as they pursue their careers.

Scholarship winners will be spotlighted at the Annual BBB Torch Awards for Ethics luncheon, which will take place on May 16, 2018 at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee.
The Wisconsin Torch Awards for Ethics honor businesses that meet the highest standard of ethics and trust among their employees, customers and local communities, embodying BBB’s mission to advance marketplace trust. And, the 2nd Annual Spark Awards for Entrepreneurship recognize Wisconsin millennial entrepreneurial leaders who demonstrate a high level of character. Our hope is that the Spark Awards will continue to inspire young entrepreneurs to both follow their dreams and continue to work toward an ethical and positive marketplace that recognizes hard work and emphasizes the idea that “we’re in this together.”
Completed applications for the 2018 Wisconsin Torch Awards for Ethics and Spark Awards are due on March 7, 2018.
