A person in the 60-69 age group has died from COVID-19, making them the 16th person in the county to die from COVID-19.
Active cases are at 135, 12 are hospitalized.
Statewide, the percent positives are still breaking records since early September. Since September 22, hospitalizations and admissions to ICU have been breaking records set in late May. There are currently 528 hospitalized, with 151 in ICUs. Dr. Mark Kaufman with the Wisconsin Hospital Association told Madison’s WKOW that there’s a strain on hospitals, particularly in the Fox Valley, Northeast and North Central regions.
Nationwide, 203,000 people have now died from Covid-19 in the U.S. There are about 7 million active cases. Percent positives have been hovering around the 4.8% mark for the past week or so.
