Convenience store in Kohler changes hands again
Just two years after Sheboygan-based QMart convenience stores were bought out by TravelCenters of America and reopened as Minit Mart, the storesare once again changing hands.
In early September, TravelCenters of America, based in Westlake, Ohio, sold its 225 Minit Mart branded convenience retail stores and gas stations around the U.S., as well as some other related assets, for $330.8 million to U.K.-based EG Group. The stores were taking cash only for a couple of days while they got their credit card system straightened out and are now operating fully. As of this printing the Minit Mart signs were still on the stores. It’s unkown at this time whether the store names will change.
