The Village ordinance banning dogs in Kohler’s portion of the cemetery (including on Memorial Day) is now in place.
Signs in the cemetery have been modified according to Interim Police Chief David Darin, and the officers have been making contact with people and educating them on the new ordinance. “Thank you to everyone for modifying their walks and complying with the new ordinance,” said Darin.
Citations for violators will be $10, plus court costs, for a total of $73.63. Residents should call the Kohler Police Department if they see an infraction within the boundary lines displayed in the map at right. (Service dogs are exempt).
